In the Kirovohrad region, a car driver attempted to forcibly "free" a conscript by cutting off a military police vehicle and threatening to set it on fire.
This was reported by the local publication “Format.”
The incident occurred in the Oleksandrivka community. At a checkpoint, military personnel identified a man who had violated military registration rules and were transporting him to the Military Registration and Enlistment Office.
On the way, near the village of Pidlisne, they were overtaken by a Mercedes-Benz, whose driver cut off the military vehicle.
After stopping, the man got out of the car, took out a can of gasoline, and began threatening to set the vehicle on fire, demanding that the conscript be released.
The conscript got into the offender’s car, but within a few minutes, the police detained them.
The Mercedes-Benz driver was notified of suspicion of obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The court imposed a preventive measure of round-the-clock house arrest on him. Under this charge, the man faces 5 to 8 years in prison.
