In the Kyiv region, a drunk female driver rolled her SUV; there are casualties – photo

A traffic accident involving a Nissan Rogue Sport SUV occurred on Stavyshchanska Street in Bila Tserkva, Kyiv Oblast, resulting in injuries.

According to the Kyiv Regional Police, a 33-year-old female driver, traveling from Soborna Square toward the village of Volodarka, lost control of the vehicle, crashed into the fence of a private residence at high speed, and the car subsequently overturned. 

As a result of the accident, the driver and an 18-year-old passenger in the SUV sustained injuries and were hospitalized. Tests confirmed that the woman was driving under the influence of alcohol. Investigators are continuing to determine all the circumstances of the incident.

The suspect in the accident that claimed 12 lives faces a sentence of at least 5 years in prison.

A day of mourning was declared in Mykolaiv following the fatal traffic accident.
