Officials in the Kyiv region will face trial for misappropriating part of a school stadium
In the Kyiv region, an indictment has been filed against an official of the State Geocadastre and a state cadastral registrar, who are suspected of misappropriating part of a school stadium.
This was reported by the regional prosecutor’s office.
According to the investigation, in 2021 they organized a scheme to illegally “expand” private land plots at the expense of communal land in the village of Tomylivka.
This concerns the territory of the stadium, the boundaries of which were altered in the State Land Cadastre—part of the plot was effectively annexed to private property.
To do this, the registrar entered false data into the system, specifically creating fictitious applications and altering the coordinates of the plot boundaries.
As a result, the area of private land was illegally increased by more than 1,300 square meters, and part of the stadium was taken out of community use.
Subsequently, a hangar for agricultural equipment was built on this territory.
The losses to the Bila Tserkva community are estimated at nearly 400,000 hryvnias.
The accused have been suspended from their posts. They are charged with embezzlement and unauthorized interference with automated systems.
Charges have been filed against top SBU officials who “protected” amber mining operations.
The deputy head of the SBU in Rivne Oblast received over $22,000 from a businessman through the same intermediary in exchange for ensuring unimpeded amber mining.
