A large-scale power outage occurred in Kharkiv amid severe weather, causing the metro to temporarily suspend operations.
This was reported by the Kharkiv City Council.
According to available information, experts from Ukrenergo and Kharkivoblenergo are investigating the cause of the outage and working to restore power.
It was later reported that as of 5:02 p.m., metro service in the city had already been restored.
The past 24 hours in the Kharkiv region were marked by intense Russian shelling, which killed a 61-year-old woman and injured seven others, including a one-and-a-half-year-old child; the strikes hit both Kharkiv and a number of settlements in the region.
Following a nighttime attack on Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of two victims from the rubble of a destroyed building; however, according to preliminary data, people may still be trapped under the debris, and search operations continue. The number of casualties has risen to 21; medical personnel continue to provide assistance, and all emergency services are on the scene.
