In the Kyiv region, the restoration of 18 apartment buildings damaged by Russian aggression has been completed. The work was carried out as part of the “Rebuilding Ukraine” project, jointly funded by the government and the UNITED24 charitable platform.

Thanks to the donor funds raised, residents of the restored buildings were able to return to their homes. The project is part of the region’s efforts to rebuild its housing infrastructure following the destruction caused by the war.

“The last six homes were restored in the Irpin, Borodianka, Gostomel, and Dmytrivka communities. In total, more than 4,000 people can once again live in their own homes,” the minister noted.

Over 860 million hryvnias were allocated to the project, of which more than 735 million hryvnias came from donations by contributors from 110 countries around the world, raised through UNITED24. The remainder was provided by the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression and local budgets.

According to Kuleba, the Kyiv region remains one of the key regions for reconstruction. Of the more than 30,000 damaged or destroyed structures, approximately 24,000 have already been restored.

In addition, nearly 1,700 of the more than 2,100 damaged apartment buildings have been restored.

“I thank the donors of the UNITED24 platform, international partners from around the world, and everyone who is helping Ukraine rebuild our communities,” he wrote on Telegram.

This was announced by Oleksiy Kuleba, Minister of Community and Territorial Development.

The reconstruction of Ukraine will require more than $580 billion.

A two-day Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 began on June 25 in Gdańsk, Poland, and is set to become one of the key international platforms for attracting investment and support for the country’s post-war reconstruction

The day before, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk expressed hope that the international Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdańsk would help halt the escalation of tensions between Warsaw and Kyiv.
