At the border with Lviv Oblast, a man tried to bribe a border guard with $500
A 43-year-old resident of the Lviv region attempted to give a $500 bribe to a border guard at the “Hrushiv” border crossing in order to leave Ukraine unimpeded.
While checking his documents, border guards determined that the man’s pension card had expired. After being informed that he needed to renew the document, he placed $500 under the inspector’s work laptop, hoping to “resolve the issue” in this way.
The border guard refused the bribe. Information regarding signs of a criminal offense under Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was forwarded to the National Police.
