In the Kharkiv region, a Chinese woman was convicted for attempting to ship an aircraft part to China
The Kharkiv District Court found a Chinese citizen guilty of attempting to ship a gas-filled capsule temperature sensor—used in aviation equipment—to China. According to the investigation, the component may be classified as military or dual-use goods.
The court found that the woman had arranged with an acquaintance to send the temperature sensor to China. Due to the product’s potential military or dual-use nature, her actions were deemed illegal.
Circumstances of the Case
As stated in case file No. 635/7014/26, in June 2025, the student arranged with an acquaintance to ship a gas-capsule temperature sensor for aviation equipment to China. Such a device is used in aviation systems, and its international transport requires passing through state export controls.
The package was shipped at a postal service branch in the village of Pisochyn, Kharkiv District. During a customs inspection at the “Dnistrovsky” checkpoint in Odesa Oblast, customs officials discovered the temperature sensor and seized it.
The Court’s Ruling
The court concluded that the woman had illegally attempted to send goods subject to state export control abroad. She was found guilty and sentenced to a fine of 51,000 hryvnias.
