A Russian swimming coach was killed in the Luhansk region

During combat operations in the Luhansk region, Ukrainian defense forces killed Russian occupier Ivan Rushakov. He was a swimming coach and held the title of Candidate Master of Sports.

This was reported by Russian media.

Ivan Rushakov was born on August 1, 1985, in the city of Koryazhma (Russian Federation). He had been swimming since childhood. He became a “candidate for master of sports” and repeatedly participated in various competitions. 

Later, he worked as a swimming coach at the “Olimp” Sports Club. 

On June 17, 2024, Rushakov signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense and joined Russia’s criminal war against Ukraine.

On May 11, 2026, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated Rushakov in the Luhansk region.

The funeral for the eliminated occupier took place on May 28, 2026.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated another 1,020 Russian soldiers on the front lines over the past 24 hours.

On May 11, 133 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Russian troops were recorded along the front line. The heaviest fighting took place in the Pokrovsk direction, where the enemy attempted to storm Ukrainian positions 26 times.

Since the start of the day on May 11, the Russian army has carried out 38 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders, focusing its main efforts on the Pokrovsk direction.
