Ivan Rushakov was born on August 1, 1985, in the city of Koryazhma (Russian Federation). He had been swimming since childhood. He became a “candidate for master of sports” and repeatedly participated in various competitions.
Later, he worked as a swimming coach at the “Olimp” Sports Club.
On June 17, 2024, Rushakov signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense and joined Russia’s criminal war against Ukraine.
