In the Lviv region, a passenger car collided with a public bus; there are casualties
On the evening of July 31, a serious traffic accident involving a passenger car and a public bus occurred in the Lviv region. Eleven people were injured in the collision, including two minors.
According to preliminary information from law enforcement, the accident occurred on the Drohobych–Dovholuka highway between the town of Stebnyk and the village of Dobrogostiv.
It has been preliminarily established that a 37-year-old foreign national, who was driving a Skoda Octavia, veered into the oncoming lane, where he collided with an I-VAN bus. A 46-year-old resident of the Drohobych district was driving the bus.
At the time of the accident, there were 14 passengers on board the bus.
As a result of the collision, the following sustained injuries:
- the driver of the passenger car;
- two female passengers in the Skoda, aged 12 and 15;
- the bus driver;
- seven female bus passengers aged 22 to 59.
All of the injured received the necessary medical care.
Law enforcement authorities have opened a criminal investigation into the accident under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—violation of traffic safety rules or transport operation regulations by persons operating vehicles.
Investigators are currently determining all the circumstances and causes of the traffic accident.

Earlier, a traffic accident occurred in Poland near Wrocław involving a car carrying seven Ukrainian citizens. According to police, everyone inside the vehicle was intoxicated, and one of the women was in the trunk at the time of the accident and sustained serious injuries.
In Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi District, the driver of a Renault truck crashed into a metal guardrail on Stolychne Highway, damaging about 50 meters of the road barrier. No one was injured in the accident.
