In the Odesa region, the search is now in its third day for a 10-year-old girl who was swept out to sea
In the Odesa region, rescue workers are continuing their search for a 10-year-old girl for the third day in a row; she was swept out to sea on an inflatable ring near the village of Sychavka.
According to the State Emergency Service, the child was relaxing on a natural beach with her great-grandmother. While swimming, a strong gust of wind caught the inflatable ring and carried the girl away from the shore.
Since the search operation began, 6 km of coastline, 210 hectares of water, and 4.5 hectares of the seabed have been searched. Divers, rescue workers, psychologists, and drone operators are involved in the operation.
The State Emergency Service once again urged citizens not to visit unregulated beaches and not to use inflatable flotation devices in adverse weather conditions.
