Repairs are beginning at "Rava-Ruska," and delays are expected

Repairs are beginning at "Rava-Ruska," and delays are expected

Starting Friday, April 24, road resurfacing work will begin at the “Rava-Ruska” border crossing. The work will take place on the section immediately in front of the checkpoint on the Ukrainian side. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

The repairs are planned to be carried out in stages. This means that some lanes will be closed from time to time for both entry into and exit from Ukraine. As a result, traffic will be allowed through in a single lane in both directions.

The Border Guard Service warns that this may cause delays. Traffic will move more slowly, and wait times may increase. “During the work, there may be minor changes in the rhythm of border crossing operations,” the State Border Guard Service explained.

The work is expected to last until approximately June 1, 2026. Drivers are advised to take this into account when planning their trips and, if possible, choose less congested times or other border crossing points. “We ask citizens to take this information into account and plan their route in advance,” the border guards added.

Additionally, France and Poland are preparing joint air force exercises in the Baltic region involving Rafale fighter jets capable of carrying nuclear missiles. During the exercises, they plan to practice, among other things, simulated strikes on targets within Russian territory.
