360 million hryvnias will be spent on repairing 18 km of road in Lviv Oblast
In the Lviv region, large-scale repairs have begun on more than 18 kilometers of the Nagirne–Dobromyl highway, which provides access to three border crossing points on the border with Poland. The cost of the work is nearly 360 million hryvnias.
The route connects to roads leading to the “Shehyni–Medyka,” “Nyzhankovychi–Malkhovice,” and “Smilnytsia–Kroscienko” border crossing points. As part of the renovation, plans include reinforcing the road base, constructing over 6 km of sidewalks, 12 bus stops, and 16 pedestrian crossings with autonomous lighting. The repairs are expected to improve transportation access for border communities and facilitate the integration of the regional network into the European TEN-T system.
The project is being implemented under the Interreg NEXT Poland–Ukraine program, for which the European Union has allocated 4.8 million euros. The remaining costs are covered by regional and local budgets: in 2026, over 20 million hryvnias were allocated from the regional budget, and the Shehyni community allocated 5 million hryvnias.
