In Rivne Oblast, a TCC official will stand trial for accepting bribes in the form of cash and cars
An indictment has been filed against the deputy head of the Rivne Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, who is accused of accepting bribes in exchange for granting deferments from mobilization and removing conscripts from the wanted list.
According to the investigation, the cost of such “services” ranged from 10,000 to 12,000 dollars. To conceal his illegal income, the official registered property in the names of trusted individuals.
One of the documented incidents involves the acquisition of a 2013 Toyota Highlander worth approximately 19,500 dollars. The vehicle was handed over to the official after the necessary paperwork was completed, but he did not have time to transfer the title.
The man is charged under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—receipt of an unlawful benefit by a public official holding a position of responsibility. The penalty under this article provides for up to 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The State Bureau of Investigations reported that the defendant pleaded guilty and transferred 1.5 million hryvnias to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The car involved in the case has been seized as evidence.
