In the Vinnytsia region, some men tried to drive into Moldova
Two residents of the Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions attempted to illegally cross the state border and enter Moldova by driving their car through engineering barriers. During their arrest, they resisted and injured a border guard.
According to the State Border Guard Service, border guards from the Mohyliv-Podilskyi Detachment spotted a Volkswagen traveling toward the border zone.
“Border guards from the Mohyliv-Podilskyi Detachment spotted their Volkswagen as it approached the border zone. When lawfully ordered to stop, the driver accelerated and attempted to evade pursuit. The men abandoned the car in the forest and tried to flee on foot,” the agency reported.
During the arrest, the men actively resisted and inflicted bodily injuries on one of the border guards.
As a result, the violators were detained.
The State Border Guard Service noted that the detainees were held administratively liable and were also notified of the charges against them.
“The violators have been held administratively liable and notified of the charges against them,” the State Border Guard Service emphasized.
