One of Ukraine's largest sugar factories is being modernized in Volyn
The company “Radehiv Sugar” is modernizing its Hnidava division in the village of Rovantsi, Volyn Oblast. The facility will install new air purification systems and upgrade its equipment to reduce pollutant emissions and make production more environmentally friendly.
Radehiv Sugar will begin modernizing its Gnidavsky division in the village of Rovantsi in Volyn. The main goal of the work is to reduce air pollutant emissions, upgrade purification systems, and improve the environmental safety of production.
The company plans to carry out a series of technical improvements designed to make production more modern and environmentally friendly.
Specifically, the project includes:
- modernization of the water and juice sulfitation units;
- installation of a new extraction system in the pulp drying department;
- upgrading the infrastructure for the storage and use of fuels and lubricants;
- replacing valves and piping;
- installation of a modern dust collection system;
- installation of new process equipment.
It is expected that once the modernization is complete, the plant will be able to significantly reduce fugitive emissions, and the air purification systems will operate more efficiently. In addition, the plant plans to improve working conditions for employees and enhance industrial safety.
At the same time, the company emphasizes that the modernization does not involve expanding production or relocating the main production lines. It specifically involves upgrading existing equipment and engineering systems.
What is known about the company
Radehiv Sugar LLC is one of the largest sugar producers in Ukraine. The company specializes in processing sugar beets and producing sugar, molasses, and granulated dry pulp. Since 2010, the company has been part of the international Pfeifer & Langen Group.
The Hnidavsky plant in the village of Rovantsi was built in 1958 and produced its first batch of products the very next year. Today, the plant can process up to 6,000 metric tons of sugar beets per day and remains one of the largest production sites in the industry in Ukraine. This was reported by Latifundist.
