Two suspects accused of selling 25 kg of cannabis were taken into custody in Volyn
In the Lutsk district, a court ordered the detention of two local residents suspected of illegally acquiring, possessing, and selling cannabis. This was reported by the Volyn Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
During a search of a house on the grounds of one of the gardening associations, law enforcement officers seized 25 kg of cannabis raw materials and cannabis plants. The suspects’ illegal activities were documented between March and September 2026.
The court ordered the suspects to be held in custody, with the option of posting bail in the amount of 266,000 hryvnias each.

The National Police of Ukraine carried out the third and final phase of the nationwide anti-drug special operation “Rubicon.” In total, over the course of the three stages, law enforcement officials served notices of suspicion to 367 individuals involved in criminal proceedings and dismantled a significant portion of the drug infrastructure in Ukraine.
Prior to this, prosecutors from the Transcarpathian Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for the Western Region’s Defense Sector filed an indictment with the court against two members of an organized group, who are accused of smuggling nearly 6 kilograms of cocaine into Ukraine and preparing the drugs for sale.
