In the Zhytomyr region, a man died after being taken to the Territorial Medical Commission to undergo a medical examination
In the Zhytomyr region, a 46-year-old man died on the premises of the district military registration and enlistment office and the joint venture, where he had been taken to undergo a military medical examination. According to preliminary information, he began to feel ill and lost consciousness, after which he was handed over to medical personnel.
The man died in an ambulance while being transported. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation.
It is noted that on August 6, while checking military registration documents, a mobilization team identified a man born in 1980 who had violated military registration rules and was subject to conscription as a reserve officer. He was taken to the Korosten District Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support to undergo a military medical examination.
Based on the results of the medical examination, the man was deemed fit for military service in military support units, recruitment and social support centers, higher military educational institutions, training centers, government agencies, medical units, and logistics, communications, operational support, and security units, according to the regional recruitment and social support center.
“At 2:38 p.m., while on the premises of the Korosten District Military Registration and Enlistment Office and Social Support Center, the citizen suddenly lost consciousness. The duty shift immediately called an emergency medical team. The team arrived at 2:46 p.m. While the man was in the ambulance, he suffered cardiac arrest. Medical personnel immediately began resuscitation efforts, but were unable to save his life. Medical personnel subsequently pronounced him dead,” the statement reads.
According to preliminary information from medical personnel, the probable cause of death was sudden cardiac arrest. No signs of external bodily injuries were found on the deceased’s body, the TCC stated.
An internal investigation has been launched into the incident. Information about the incident has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations. Final conclusions will be drawn after the completion of procedural actions and the conduct of a forensic medical examination.
