Video: Russian flags are lying on the floor in the Khmelnytskyi mayor's office instead of rugs
On August 7, Khmelnytskyi Mayor Oleksandr Symchyshyn showed visitors his office, which he calls a “mini-museum.” Notably, Russian flags—which were displayed during the tour—lie on the floor in place of rugs.
According to the mayor, the office contains awards, books, gifts from the military, unit flags, and other memorabilia. Among the exhibits are a captured FPV drone; a clock made from bullet casings; a wing from a Russian “Shahed” drone that was shot down near Khmelnytskyi; a captured electronic warfare device; and more than 150 flags of Ukrainian military units.
The mayor also displayed a collection of shoulder patches donated by Ukrainian servicemen.
In addition, two captured Russian flags lie at the entrance to his office instead of doormats. According to Symchyshyn, all visitors wipe their feet on them before entering.
“Two rags. I’m deliberately using the word ‘rag.’ This isn’t a ‘hanchirka.’ ‘Hanchirka’ is a really cool Ukrainian word, but these are just rags,” said the mayor.
As a reminder, search operations are ongoing in the Khmelnytskyi region following explosions at a military training ground.
