The most expensive car declared in the Verkhovna Rada was a Chinese electric car

During the first half of 2026, 16 members of the Ukrainian Parliament reported purchasing cars, with the most expensive purchase being a 2026 Zeekr 9X Ultra electric crossover worth nearly 136 thousand dollars, or 5.7 million hryvnias. It was declared by MP Yuriy Shapovalov of the “For the Future” parliamentary group.

The second most expensive purchase was a BMW i7 xDrive60 electric sedan for 4.8 million hryvnias, declared by Serhiy Taruta, while rounding out the top three most expensive purchases was a 2026 Volkswagen Touareg for 3.6 million hryvnias, purchased by Valerii Bozhik. Marina Nikitina spent over 2 million hryvnias on a Volvo XC40, while the cheapest declared purchase was a 2008 Nissan X-Trail for 300,000 hryvnias, purchased by Mykola Stefanchuk.

The most popular car brands among members of parliament were Toyota and Volvo, with four and three vehicles, respectively, listed in their declarations. By comparison, 26 lawmakers declared car purchases for the entire year of 2025.

At the same time, some of the MPs’ high-value vehicles are not included in the reports on significant changes in financial status, as they may be registered to relatives or companies, as in the case of a 2023 Rolls-Royce Cullinan worth about $500,000, which is used by Hennadiy Vatsak.

Earlier, Oleksandr Kizlyar, a member of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Council from the “Batkivshchyna” party, declared the largest cryptocurrency portfolio among Ukrainian public officials.

Mykola Davydiuk, a newly elected member of parliament from the “Holos” party, published his electronic declaration for 2025, in which he listed assets worth millions, a collection of artworks, and real estate in the capital.

Pavlo Kovalchuk, deputy head of the Regional Service Center of the State Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Rivne, Volyn, and Zhytomyr regions, declared cryptocurrency assets worth over 7.8 million hryvnias.
