The NBU has updated its exchange rates for April 2: the dollar is falling in value, while the euro is rising

On April 2, the dollar and the euro continue to move in opposite directions on Ukraine’s foreign exchange market. The U.S. dollar is losing value, while the euro is gaining ground.

According to the Minfin portal, as of the morning of April 2, currency exchange offices are buying the dollar for 43.75 UAH (-7 kopecks) and selling it for 43.60 UAH (-10 kopecks).

At banks, the average buying rate is 44.09 UAH (-1 kopeck), and the selling rate is 43.60 UAH (unchanged). The best offers are from Oschadbank and Monobank.

At currency exchange offices, the euro is being bought at 50.90 UAH (+10 kopecks) and sold at 50.65 UAH (+10 kopecks). At banks, the buying rate is 51.00 UAH (+24 kopecks), and the selling rate is 50.35 UAH (+25 kopecks). The lowest selling rate: PrivatBank.

Rates at the largest banks

PrivatBank: dollar – 44.10 UAH at the counter, 44.05 UAH via non-cash transactions; euro – 51.10 UAH at the counter, 51.02 UAH via non-cash transactions.
Oschadbank: dollar – 44 UAH in the mobile app, 44.15 UAH for cards; euro – 51.30 UAH in the app, 51.15 UAH via non-cash transactions.
PUMB: dollar – 44.10 UAH, euro – 51.20 UAH at the teller window.
Monobank: dollar – 44.03 UAH, euro – 51.26 UAH.

“The dollar continues to fall, while the euro is rising in value. This affects the profitability of exchanging and buying currencies at banks and exchange offices,” experts note.

Prior to this, the euro had fallen by about 30 kopecks over the past day, while the dollar is declining more moderately.

The NBU published exchange rates for March 30; the dollar and euro are falling.

Prior to this, the National Bank of Ukraine recorded a slight strengthening of the national currency on the country’s foreign exchange market. 

As a reminder, the morning of March 27 brought good news for currency buyers, as the dollar fell by 5 kopecks at exchange offices, and the euro by 10.
