The NBU sanctioned 21 financial institutions, including Raiffeisen
In July 2026, the National Bank of Ukraine imposed sanctions on 21 financial institutions for violations related to financial monitoring and foreign exchange legislation. Among them were two banks and 19 non-bank financial institutions, including Raiffeisen.
Raiffeisen Bank was fined 16.1 million UAH. The NBU identified violations during customer due diligence, the application of a risk-based approach, and the management of risks associated with the use of new technologies and the conduct of remote transactions.
The bank also failed to report certain threshold financial transactions in a timely manner and did not properly provide the regulator with the requested documents.
“Ukrainian Capital Bank” received two fines totaling 42.5 million UAH. Of this amount, 40.5 million UAH was for inadequate organization of financial monitoring, customer verification, and risk assessment.
The bank must pay an additional 2 million UAH for inadequate foreign exchange supervision, specifically for an incomplete analysis of documents related to foreign exchange transactions.
Among non-bank institutions, “FC Growey” was fined 799,000 UAH, “Creditplus” — 595,000 UAH, “Forward Finance” — 459,000 UAH, and “Royal Finance 1” was fined 391,000 UAH.
The companies “Finetica” and “Mega Finance” were each fined 51,000 UAH, while “Jivvayp Finance” and “Money Republic” were each fined 17,000 UAH.

The National Bank of Ukraine forecasts that due to the suspension of maritime exports in the second half of 2026, the country will lose more than $2 billion in export revenue.
