The Odesa region received six generators from Poland
The Odesa region has received six generators from the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland. The equipment will be installed in medical facilities so that they can continue to operate even during power outages.
Odesa Oblast has received six medium- and small-capacity generators from its Polish partners. The equipment was donated by the West Pomeranian Voivodeship of the Republic of Poland. This was announced by Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration. “Odesa Region has received six medium- and small-capacity generators from our partners—the West Pomeranian Voivodeship of the Republic of Poland,” he wrote.
The generators will be installed in medical facilities across the region. They are intended to provide backup power for critical equipment. This will allow hospitals to continue providing medical care even in the event of power outages. Backup power will be especially important in the fall and winter, when the load on the power grid increases.
The humanitarian aid was provided as part of a partnership between the Odesa region and the Polish region. Both sides agreed to strengthen this cooperation following meetings held during the URC 2026 International Conference on Ukraine’s Recovery. Kipper thanked the Polish partners for their assistance and support of the region.
“I would like to express my gratitude to the West Pomeranian Voivodeship for its unwavering support, solidarity, and contribution to strengthening the energy resilience of the Odesa region,” emphasized the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration. The new generators are intended to help the region’s medical facilities remain prepared for potential emergency power outages and other disruptions in the electricity supply. He wrote about this on Telegram on Saturday.
In the Vinnytsia region, farmers have already harvested over 1.4 million metric tons of grain. The harvest is ongoing, and this year’s average yield is so far higher than last year’s—59.6 centners per hectare.
