Oleksandr Usyk and his wife are celebrating their 17th wedding anniversary

Famous Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk and his wife Kateryna are celebrating their 17th wedding anniversary on September 25. To mark this special occasion, the athlete’s wife publicly addressed him and shared photos of the two of them together.

“17 years together. And we still choose each other just as much as ever. I love you,” wrote Kateryna Usyk.

Oleksandr Usyk and Kateryna Khmelevska met back in their school days in Simferopol. They were in parallel classes, and eventually began a romantic relationship.

The couple spent several years together, but their relationship went through a difficult period. At one point, Oleksandr Usyk and Kateryna broke up and didn’t speak to each other for a while. Eventually, they reconciled and decided to commit to each other.

On September 25, 2009, Oleksandr Usyk and Kateryna officially became husband and wife. The wedding took place in Crimea, surrounded by their closest friends and family.

At the time of their wedding, Kateryna was already expecting their first child—a daughter named Yelyzaveta. The girl was born in 2010.

Thus, on September 25, 2026, Oleksandr Usyk and Kateryna will celebrate 17 years of marriage.

Kateryna posted a series of romantic photos with Oleksandr Usyk on Instagram, taken in Spain. She also dedicated some heartfelt words to her husband.

As a reminder, Oleksandr Usyk retained the top spot in the updated rankings of the best heavyweight boxers according to the British publication talkSPORT. The Ukrainian champion finished ahead of Daniel Dubois and Agit Kabayel.
