Palis discussed with RTX Corporation the acceleration of missile deliveries to Patriot

Ukraine held another round of talks with a delegation from the U.S. defense contractor RTX regarding critical air defense needs. The parties focused on expediting the delivery of anti-aircraft missiles, repairing damaged systems, and the possibility of servicing certain components directly in Ukraine. 

This was reported by Pavlo Palisa, Deputy Head of the Office of the President.

He noted that the key issue is the implementation of the recently signed agreement on the supply of PAC-2 GEM-T missiles. Some of these munitions will be manufactured at a new facility in Germany, but the Ukrainian side insists on receiving the weapons as quickly as possible. During the meeting, special attention was paid to finding new technical solutions to combat enemy drones.

In addition, the negotiators discussed promising developments in cheaper missiles specifically designed to intercept unmanned aerial vehicles. Such modernization of the arsenal is expected to reduce the costs of repelling the massive UAV attacks regularly carried out by Russia. Cooperation with RTX Corporation continues as part of efforts to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities and adapt Western technologies to the conditions of intense warfare.

Ukraine faces a shortage of missiles for key air defense systems, including Patriot, NASAMS, and IRIS-T. As a result, some launchers in military units remain understaffed.
