Shooting during a document check: Photos of the deceased shooter released in Odessa
On March 25 in Odessa, a 45-year-old local resident opened fire on police officers during a routine ID check and attempted to flee in a car. The attacker was later shot and killed while police were attempting to apprehend him.
Local media released a photo of the attacker.
According to law enforcement officials, the man was wanted for violating military registration rules. After the initial shooting, a special police operation was launched to apprehend him.




Within a few hours, law enforcement officers located him. During negotiations, the shooter opened fire again; in response, KORD fighters used their weapons and neutralized the attacker.

He refused to cooperate with law enforcement and opened fire on KORD special forces officers.
