Five regions of Ukraine were partially left without power due to shelling by Russia
As of July 21, due to hostilities and damage to energy infrastructure, some consumers in five regions of Ukraine were temporarily without power. Power outages were reported in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions.
It is noted that power utility workers are working around the clock to restore power to all customers as quickly as possible, and restoration efforts are ongoing 24 hours a day.
Additionally, due to severe weather, four settlements in the Mykolaiv and Poltava regions remain without power. Repair crews are working to restore service.
Regarding the imposition of restrictions
The Ministry of Energy noted that no power restrictions are expected on July 21. Please check the official websites of your regional power companies for any updates regarding power supply.
The ministry urged consumers to use electricity sparingly during peak consumption hours in the morning and evening. This helps reduce the load on the grid.
Uninterrupted Power Until Fall
The summer of 2026 in Ukraine will be marked by energy balancing: despite more optimistic forecasts, rolling blackouts were in effect on June 30 and July 1.

Russian troops launched a missile strike on a civilian vessel flying the flag of Guinea-Bissau. As a result of the attack, five crew members were killed, eight others were evacuated, and the fate of five remains unknown.
Throughout the day on July 17, the Chernihiv region came under attack from enemy drones. Fires broke out in several districts simultaneously, but Ukrainian rescue workers have already extinguished them.
