Following the "Requiem" special operation, the court handed down sentences to the drug traffickers
Members of a drug ring who were arrested during the large-scale special operation “Requiem” were sentenced to up to eight years in prison. According to police, the men manufactured psychotropic substances in an underground laboratory and distributed the drugs throughout Ukraine.
In addition to the prison terms, the court ordered the confiscation of their property. Law enforcement officials say the scheme operated via the internet, “workshops,” and mail.
The National Police reported that the sentences were handed down to two men from the Cherkasy region, aged 31 and 32. They were detained last year during the nationwide special operation “Requiem.” According to the investigation, the suspects set up a laboratory for the production of psychotropic substances. They ordered the necessary precursors and chemicals online.

They sold the finished products in large batches. Some of the drugs were stored in so-called “warehouses,” while the rest were mailed to customers in various regions of the country.

The police note that during the investigation, law enforcement officers gathered sufficient evidence of the men’s involvement in the illegal production and distribution of psychotropic substances. “Currently, the drug dealers have been sentenced to eight years in prison with confiscation of property,” the National Police reported.

The “Requiem” special operation took place across Ukraine and was aimed at dismantling major drug production and distribution networks. During the operation, law enforcement officers uncovered drug labs, cut off supply channels for psychotropic substances, and detained the organizers of the schemes.
