Weather in Ukraine on April 15: temperatures rising to 17°C and gusty winds
A spring warm-up is expected in Ukraine on April 15, but the weather will remain changeable—with cool nights and gusty winds in some areas. This was reported by meteorologist Natalka Didenko.
According to her, weather conditions will be shaped by atmospheric fronts in the west and a cyclone in the east, while most of the country will be under the influence of the Quirin anticyclone.
“And tomorrow we’ll be comfortably nestled in the ridge of the Finnish anticyclone Quirin (its tail is right over the Black Sea),” the meteorologist noted.
Thanks to this, dry and sunny weather is forecast for most regions. At the same time, light rain is possible in the Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions.
Overnight, temperatures will remain low—between +1°C and +5°C.
“But during the day on April 15, it will be much warmer, 12–17 degrees. In the northeast, the air will be cool, 9–12 degrees,” Didenko said.
A moderate northwesterly wind is expected, with gusts in some areas.
“Don’t rush to switch to overly revealing clothing; it’s still chilly,” the meteorologist advised.
In Kyiv, dry weather is forecast for April 15, with a cool night at +3…+5° and a warm day up to +15°.
“The wind in the capital tomorrow will be northwesterly. Before noon, it will be gusty. In the afternoon, it will die down, and it will be nice outside,” the expert concluded.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center released a forecast for the second month of spring, according to which temperatures and precipitation will remain within the climatic norm.
After a cold winter, Ukrainians are looking forward to spring warmth, but April will bring not only sunshine but also weather “swings.”
