Volodymyr Tymoshko has been appointed head of the Chernihiv Regional Police
A new police chief has been appointed in the Chernihiv region. On May 27, Ivan Vyhovskyi, Head of the National Police of Ukraine, introduced Volodymyr Tymoshko as the head of the regional police department.
The new chief is Volodymyr Tymoshko, who led the Kharkiv Regional Police from 2022 to 2024, coordinated the work of units amid full-scale war, and knows firsthand how to organize police operations in a frontline region.
During the presentation, the Head of the National Police emphasized that the newly appointed chief has risen through the ranks from investigative units to leadership positions and has proven himself to be a professional and effective manager.
“Chernihiv Oblast is a region that today holds particular significance both in terms of public safety and in the context of countering military threats. The main priorities for the regional police remain public safety, rapid response to calls, and the documentation of Russian war crimes,” noted Ivan Vyhovskyi.
Volodymyr Tymoshko thanked the leadership of the National Police for their trust and assured them that the Chernihiv police force will continue to work to ensure law and order, public safety, and the fulfillment of all assigned tasks under martial law.
