Poland will test its latest weapons on the battlefield in Ukraine
Poland plans to use the Ukrainian front as a key testing ground for promising defense developments.
According to PAP, this was stated by Polish Deputy Minister of Defense Cezary Tomczyk. He noted that the experience gained in countering Russian electronic warfare (EW) systems and artillery is invaluable for the modernization of the Polish army.
The main focus of the tests will be on unmanned systems adapted to modern EW conditions, air defense systems, and high-tech missiles. Plans also include upgrading armored vehicles, particularly wheeled armored personnel carriers, and organizing tank repairs near the combat zone. Tomczyk noted the successful cooperation with WB Electronics and emphasized the importance of expanding technological exchange between the countries.
The cooperation is based on a memorandum on the establishment of joint defense enterprises, signed in February 2026. This enables the full production cycle of ammunition and equipment to be carried out on the territories of both states. This strategy ensures a stable supply of weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and creates a joint technological advantage over the military capabilities of the Russian Federation. Testing in real combat conditions will serve as a “true indicator” of the effectiveness of Polish military technologies.
In Ukraine, all details regarding the export of domestically produced weapons have been agreed upon at the state level.
Ukrainian interceptor drones have already successfully destroyed several Iranian drones over the country in the Persian Gulf.
