Zelenskyy: Russia is preparing new offensives and expanding its mobilization

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the findings of a report by Oleg Ivashchenko, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, regarding the situation in the Russian army.

According to the head of state, the Ukrainian side possesses documents from the Russian General Staff that demonstrate the occupying forces’ inability to carry out the tasks assigned by the political leadership.

Zelenskyy noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to destroy the Russian army’s offensive capabilities. At the same time, the occupiers’ irreplaceable losses already account for about 60% of their total losses.

Despite this, he said, the Russian leadership is planning new offensive operations and preparing to increase troop numbers, particularly through expanded mobilization.

The President emphasized that Ukraine’s response must be to further increase enemy losses, intensify the use of drones on the front lines, and expand sanctions against Russia’s defense industry and oil sector.

Also, according to Zelenskyy, Ukraine will inform its partners about Russia’s preparations for possible operations against NATO countries and attempts to draw Belarus deeper into the war.

Occupiers are shelling Vovchansk to capture the city and its surroundings, according to the "Forpost" brigade.

Ukrainian troops recently advanced in the Donetsk region. This refers to the area between Kostiantynivka and Druzhkivka, where the Defense Forces were able to improve their positions.
