More than 1,200 homes have already received funding under the SvitloDIM program
The government initiative "SvitloDIM," aimed at providing apartment buildings with alternative energy sources, has garnered significant interest among Ukrainians.

The pilot regions—Kyiv and the Kyiv region—have already shown significant results, with over 2,500 applications submitted.
The program has now been officially expanded to the Kharkiv region, where residents of high-rise buildings will also be able to receive compensation for energy equipment.
Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba emphasized that the energy independence of the residential sector is a fundamental component of the state’s overall resilience in wartime.
According to him, the program’s total budget is 800 million UAH. To date, the relevant committees have already approved funding totaling nearly 313 million UAH, leaving approximately 500 million UAH in reserve for new participants.
Kyiv Oblast leads in the number of applications: the submitted requests represent the interests of over 380,000 families.
1,236 apartment buildings have already received state financial support.
These funds are allocated for the purchase of generators, inverters, solar panels, and other equipment that ensures the operation of critical engineering systems during power outages.
For residents of the Kharkiv region, the application period began on April 14, and the first applications from homeowners’ associations and housing cooperatives were received on the very first day of the program.
The “SvitloDIM” program allows people not only to prepare for difficult periods in the power grid but also to significantly modernize in-building networks using state subsidies.
