More than 200 people are waiting to cross the border into Poland

A line of more than 200 pedestrians has formed at the Ukrainian-Polish border. Currently, the border can only be crossed on foot through the “Shehyni–Medyka” border crossing, which is why there is a significant crowd there.

A photo has been posted online showing a large group of people standing in the so-called “service zone” at the border, waiting for their turn.

Such crowds are being reported on both sides of the border: in the Lviv region, at the “Shehyni” checkpoint, as well as in the Polish village of Medyka in the Przemyśl County of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship.

Ukrainians on both sides of the border are forced to wait their turn under the scorching sun for several hours.

At all other border crossings with Poland—namely “Yagodin,” “Ustyluh,” “Ugryniv,” “Rava-Ruska,” “Hrushiv,” “Krakivets,” “Smilnytsia,” and “Nyzhankovychi,” are not currently allowing pedestrians to cross.
