The tenth protest over Fedorov's resignation took place in Kyiv and other cities across Ukraine
On July 25, protests took place in Kyiv and a number of other Ukrainian cities over the dismissal of Mykhailo Fedorov from his post as defense minister. Participants demanded that the authorities reinstate him to his position and reconsider the decision.
In Kyiv, people began gathering in the park near the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater around 7:00 p.m. According to our correspondent, there were no more than a hundred people at first, but the number then increased significantly.
In addition to demands to reinstate Fedorov as defense minister, there were also calls to replace Vitaliy Kim as head of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs; prior to the government reshuffle, Kim had served as head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.
Suspilne correspondents reported on the start of peaceful protests in the Ukrainian capital and a number of other cities.
Earlier, Zelenskyy had offered Fedorov either a position on the National Security and Defense Council or the post of Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation. Fedorov declined, arguing that only the position of Minister of Defense provides the necessary real authority to combat corruption in procurement.
A majority of Ukrainians opposed President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s decision to dismiss Mykhailo Fedorov from the post of defense minister.
The resignation of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi was supported by 55% of Ukrainians surveyed, according to the results of a poll conducted by the “Rating” sociological group on July 20–21, 2026.
Valeriy Zaluzhny has the highest level of trust among officials, politicians, and public figures—70%. Mykhailo Fedorov is trusted by 65% of those surveyed, Kyrylo Budanov by 62%, and Volodymyr Zelenskyy by 59%. Oleksandr Usyk is trusted by 54% of respondents, Oleksandr Syrskyi by 23%, and Petro Poroshenko by 21%.
