An official from the Podil District State Administration is suspected of overpaying 770,000 hryvnias for paint
Law enforcement officials have notified the head of one of the departments of the Podil District State Administration in Kyiv that he is under suspicion of an alleged overpayment of nearly 770,000 hryvnias during the procurement of paint for educational institutions.
According to the investigation, in 2023, the Education Department of the Podilskyi District State Administration entered into a contract with a private company to supply paint for renovation work in schools and kindergartens in the district. Prosecutors determined that the estimated cost of the products was inflated, resulting in the city budget overpaying nearly 770 thousand hryvnias.
The official who signed the contracts has been notified of suspicion under Part 4 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—misappropriation of budget funds.
