17–18: Favorable days for root crops and green manure
The beginning of the week is perfect for working the soil and sowing crops that produce underground harvests or improve soil structure.
- What to sow and plant: late radishes, radish, daikon radish, as well as green manure crops (mustard, phacelia, oats) in vacant beds.
- Garden tasks: prune dry branches, loosen the soil, remove weeds, and fertilize perennials with phosphorus-potassium fertilizers.
August 19–20: Time for greens and plant care
