Stefanchuk spoke about the problems with holding elections in Dii
It is currently not possible to hold elections through the “Diya” app. According to Ruslan Stefanchuk, such a voting process could encounter “pitfalls” similar to those that arose during the voting on the service for the “Eurovision Song Contest.”
Stefanchuk on Elections via “Diya”
In the MP’s opinion, holding elections in Ukraine via “Diya” is not possible at this time.
As Stefanchuk says, only an aggressor country conducts such electronic elections
“And when the criminal Putin sits there ‘clicking’ on a computer with Windows not activated and votes, then there will likely be questions about the results of these elections. In addition, we are bound by the provisions of the Constitution, because elections must ensure in-person voting,” says Stefanchuk.
He noted that elections must meet the following basic criteria:
democracy,
security,
and trust.
“This is very difficult to achieve under current conditions. Therefore, I think that for now, this is unlikely to happen in the near future,” Stefanchuk believes.
He added that he respects “Diya” and votes for it himself, but there is a caveat.
“But I don’t want the presidential or Verkhovna Rada elections to turn out like the ‘Eurovision’ vote,” he clarified.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Andriy Kuzmenko from the post of Ukraine’s ambassador to Qatar. The head of state signed the corresponding decree on August 25, 2026.
