The Ukrainian Embassy has cautioned against screening the film *Russians at War* in Zurich

The Ukrainian Embassy in Switzerland has expressed concern over the planned screening of the film "Russians at War" during the May 1 celebrations in Zurich.

This was reported by the diplomatic mission.

Ukrainian diplomats emphasized that such screenings could contribute to the spread of narratives beneficial to the aggressor state and influence international public opinion.

The embassy noted that the film is viewed as an element of Russian propaganda aimed at justifying the actions of the Russian Federation’s military and political leadership and distorting the reality of the war.

It was also emphasized that such materials can blur the line between aggressor and victim and diminish accountability for crimes committed.

The diplomatic mission recalled that the Security Service of Ukraine has opened a criminal case against the film’s director, Anastasia Trofimova, under the article on justifying armed aggression.

Additionally, the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine has added her to the list of individuals posing a threat to national security and has documented violations of the law due to her illegal entry into temporarily occupied territories.

The embassy urged the event organizers to reconsider their decision to screen the film and to take into account the consequences of such a move out of respect for the victims of war and international law.

The film "The Sharp-Brimmed Hats: The Immortal" opened with a 93% approval rating.

As a reminder, a lost film by Georges Méliès featuring the first robot in cinema history was discovered in the U.S.

Warner Bros. is also developing a prequel film set in the "Game of Thrones" universe.
