Fedorov responded to his dismissal for the first time and addressed the Ukrainian people

Following his decision to resign, Mykhailo Fedorov issued his first statement, in which he summarized his work and identified the tasks that had not been fully accomplished.

According to him, among the unfinished reforms are the complete transformation of the Ministry of Defense in line with NATO standards, the transition of all procurement to a tender-based system, and the fostering of a culture of accountability for decisions made. At the same time, he thanked Ukrainian defenders, his team, and his family for their support.

Fedorov also emphasized that he is not stopping his work and plans to continue helping Ukraine by focusing on innovation, swift decision-making, and strengthening the country’s defense capabilities.

“Thank you to my entire team for their effective 24/7 service. A special thank you to my family for their patience. Thank you all for your support! I will continue to work toward the mission I came to the Ministry of Defense with—to defeat the enemy through asymmetry, the speed of innovation, and the strength of our organization. To be continued,” Fedorov wrote on his Telegram channel.

Zelenskyy acknowledged that Fedorov lost his position due to a conflict with Syrskyi.

Ukrainian MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak has released the likely lineup of the new Cabinet of Ministers, which may be headed by Serhiy Koretskyi. At the same time, a final decision on some of the candidates has not yet been made, particularly regarding Fedorov.

Zelenskyy had also previously stated that he had not yet made a decision regarding Fedorov’s future in the government.
