The Prosecutor's Office has returned a gas field linked to Boyko to the state

The Supreme Court has invalidated the agreement to sell the Priazovskoye gas field, which had previously been sold at a significantly undervalued price.

This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

The field in question has proven reserves of over 2.2 billion cubic meters of gas and covers an area of approximately 35,000 hectares. According to the prosecutor’s office, in 2020, the special permit for its development was sold in violation of regulations and without the necessary approvals.

The auction was held using a “Dutch” model with a descending price, resulting in the lot’s value decreasing 39-fold. Ultimately, the field was transferred for only 630,000 hryvnias, even though its resources are estimated to be worth billions.

The court found that the bidding took place with virtually no competition—only one company participated, which the media linked to Yuriy Boyko.

The Supreme Court invalidated the auction results, the special permit, and the purchase agreement.

The prosecutor’s office emphasized that the transfer of the deposit occurred with gross violations of the law and contrary to the interests of the state.

Yuriy Boyko, a member of parliament and head of the “Platform for Life and Peace,” recorded a video apology after being summoned for questioning by the Security Service of Ukraine.
