A resident of Pavlohrad was sentenced to 15 years in prison for directing Russian strikes

A court found a 48-year-old resident of Pavlohrad guilty of treason for passing information to Russian intelligence services to help target a defense facility with missile strikes, and sentenced him to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

Prosecutors proved that in September 2025, the man voluntarily agreed to cooperate with Russian intelligence agencies. Following their instructions, he gathered information about the operations of the defense plant and energy infrastructure facilities in Pavlohrad, and documented the aftermath of Russian missile strikes.

After the shelling, the convicted man walked around the area near the enterprise, photographed the damage, and sent the photos along with detailed descriptions to representatives of Russian intelligence agencies via Telegram bots. According to the investigation, this information could have been used for follow-up attacks.

In November 2025, law enforcement officers detained the man. During the trial, he fully admitted his guilt.
