Parliament forms group for rapid review of elections law during wartime

The Verkhovna Rada is forming a working group to quickly study the possibilities of holding presidential elections in Ukraine during wartime.

This was reported by Servant of the People faction leader David Arakhamia on his Telegram.

“According to a preliminary agreement, a working group is being formed in the Verkhovna Rada to rapidly review the issue of possible presidential elections during martial law,” Arakhamia said.

He noted that discussions will take place within the Rada’s committee on state governance, local self-government, regional development, and urban planning, with participation from representatives of all parliamentary factions and groups, the Central Election Commission, as well as civil society organizations working on election issues.

“The date and time of the meeting will be announced soon. Media representatives will also be invited,” the faction leader added.
