According to journalists, Serhiy Rebrov, the former coach of the Ukrainian national soccer team, likely posted a 30 million hryvnia bail bond for Andriy Yermak, the former head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
This was reported by Mykhailo Tkach, head of the investigative team at Ukrayinska Pravda, as well as journalists from the Schemes project.
According to Tkach, citing sources in political circles:
“According to UP’s sources in political circles, former national soccer team coach Serhiy Rebrov paid 30 million hryvnias in bail for Andriy Yermak,” the journalist noted.
The journalists also recalled Rebrov’s previous public statements regarding his acquaintance and relationship with Yermak.
In previously published interviews, Rebrov spoke of a long-standing acquaintance and working relationship with Andriy Yermak, and also noted Yermak’s role in the coach’s return to Ukraine.
“I’ve known Andriy for a very long time… We talk quite often,” the journalists quoted him as saying.
Journalists also report that Rebrov has not yet responded to calls or inquiries regarding the situation.
