Russia will attempt to undermine Ukraine's defense agreements under the Drone Deals initiative
Ukrainian intelligence has obtained Russian documents outlining strategies to counter Ukraine’s cooperation with international partners under the Drone Deals initiative.
This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the head of state, he received this information during a briefing by Oleg Lugovsky, head of the Foreign Intelligence Service.
According to the data received, the Russian political leadership views Ukraine’s attraction of additional investments as one of the key threats. In this regard, Moscow has identified as a priority the denial of Ukraine’s access to financing and the disruption of bilateral agreements in the fields of security and defense production.
Zelenskyy also noted that Russia will focus particular attention on countering Ukraine’s cooperation with partners in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf region.
Ukraine has proposed a large-scale deal with the U.S. in the field of unmanned technologies worth up to $50 billion, but there is still no final decision from the partners.
As a reminder, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States does not need Ukraine’s help in defending against Iranian drone strikes. He emphasized that American drones are “the best in the world” and their capabilities surpass any others.
