The Russians attacked Ukraine's railway and port infrastructure on the night of March 26

On the night of March 26, enemy forces carried out a targeted attack on Ukraine’s railway and port infrastructure, but there were no casualties.

Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine and Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba reported on the consequences of this latest act of aggression.

In the Kirovohrad region, a locomotive maintenance facility was struck by enemy drones.

Several units of rolling stock were damaged as a result of the strikes, which will require additional repair work.

As the minister noted in his statement, the attack was aimed at destabilizing logistics operations.

“All relevant services are working to mitigate the consequences and restore operations,” emphasized Oleksiy Kuleba, highlighting the prompt response of railway workers.

Despite the damage to the technical infrastructure, rail service continues to operate.

Experts have already begun assessing the extent of the damage and developing a plan for the rapid restoration of damaged locomotives to ensure uninterrupted transportation.

In the south of the country, significant strikes on civilian maritime infrastructure have been recorded.

Warehouses, piers, as well as administrative buildings of port operators and the maritime terminal came under fire.

The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) clarified that the enemy struck one of the strategically important ports on the Danube River overnight.

This confirms the aggressor’s intent to disrupt Ukraine’s export operations and logistics in the Danube cluster.

Despite the damage, the infrastructure remains operational.

“The port continues to operate, taking into account security restrictions and the current situation,” the USPA noted, adding that staff safety remains a top priority during operations.

As a reminder, a restaurant in Kharkiv was attacked with a Shahed drone, and one person was injured.

The Russians also attacked energy facilities in Slavutych and cut off power to the entire city.
