Russian agents planted a listening device at a drone manufacturer: The SBU foiled the espionage operation

Russian intelligence agents attempted to gain access to critical data belonging to a Ukrainian drone manufacturer by installing listening devices in the chief engineer’s office.

This was reported by TechEx.

The company in question is the developer of the Stalker line of fiber-optic drones and the Striker Mini interceptor.

The espionage attempt was thwarted thanks to the SBU’s counterintelligence, which warned the company in advance about the enemy’s actions. As a result, no information was leaked.

Moreover, the Ukrainian side used the situation for disinformation: Russian intelligence agencies received false data for a long time.

According to TechEx, the enemy attempted to gain access to:

  • design drawings and technologies;
  • supply chains;
  • information about partners;
  • data on Defense Forces units that use these drones.

The company emphasizes that Ukrainian defense enterprises remain one of the main targets of Russian intelligence—both technical and human.

TechEx urges weapons manufacturers to strengthen cooperation with intelligence agencies, as security issues are becoming critically important for Ukraine’s entire defense industry.

As a reminder, a double terrorist attack occurred this morning in Bucha near a residential building, injuring police officers.

Additionally, the SBU announced that it has charged a woman from Kharkiv with luring police officers into a terrorist attack in Lviv.
