Ukraine has been promised something that will force Russia to choose peace – Zelenskyy
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the Defense Forces’ current military operations in the temporarily occupied Crimea are meticulously planned and effective. According to him, successful long-range strikes against the invaders’ logistics and facilities on the peninsula demonstrate Ukraine’s ability to dictate its own terms on the battlefield.
Zelenskyy sparked interest with his statement, emphasizing that during the recent G7 summit, the Ukrainian delegation discussed with international partners specific steps and measures capable of radically changing the course of the war. The president stressed that if these defense decisions are finally approved by allies and Ukraine receives the necessary weapons, Kyiv will swiftly create conditions for the Kremlin under which Russia will be forced to choose the path of a peaceful settlement.
“And the way the operation is unfolding clearly demonstrates: if Ukraine receives exactly what we discussed with our partners within the G7—and this depends on our partners’ decision—we will promptly create conditions under which Russia will be forced to choose peace,” he stated.
He noted that Western leaders are well aware of exactly what technological and strategic needs are at stake, and the Ukrainian side is counting on their swift and positive response. The statement came amid large-scale operations by the Unmanned Systems Forces and successful strikes on military infrastructure, arsenals, and bridges on both sides of the Kerch Strait.
