Four people have gone missing on the Dniester River in the Chernivtsi region
Four people, including three children, have gone missing in the Dniester River in the Chernivtsi region. The incidents occurred on June 24 while they were swimming and relaxing near the water. A large-scale search and rescue operation is currently underway.
In the village of Repuzhynci, Chernivtsi District, a man born in 1976 and two children born in 2018 went missing while swimming.
In the village of Moshanech, Dniester District, a boy born in 2010 went missing.
Rescuers from the State Emergency Service (SES), police (including those with drones and service dogs), medical personnel, local residents with boats, and SES diving and rescue teams from the Khmelnytskyi region are involved in the search.
The State Emergency Service urges citizens to follow water safety rules and emphasizes:
Children must not be left unattended by adults while spending time near bodies of water.

Last week alone, 14 people died as a result of accidents on bodies of water in Ukraine, including one child.
Earlier, experts from the State Audit Service uncovered flagrant violations in the Petrivka Village Council, where business owners had illegally seized the coastal strip and frightened people with landmines.
