A Russian drone struck a gas station in the Odesa region

A Russian attack drone struck a gas station in the southern part of the Odesa region this morning. The strike sparked a fire, which engulfed a gas tanker and part of the control room building. Rescue workers quickly extinguished the fire, and cleanup efforts are ongoing at the site.

This morning, Russian forces struck the southern part of the Odesa region using a “Shahed”-type attack drone. The target of the attack was a gas station.

Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported on the consequences of the strike. According to him, the drone struck the gas station’s premises, causing a fire. “An enemy ‘Shahed’-type attack drone struck a gas station in southern Odesa Oblast this morning. The strike caused a gas tanker and the exterior of the control room building to catch fire,” Kipper said.

After the strike, the fire engulfed the gas tanker as well as part of the building housing the control room. Emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene and managed to contain and completely extinguish the fire. According to the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, emergency responders prevented the flames from spreading and quickly brought the situation under control. This helped avoid even more serious consequences, as the fire broke out at a facility where fuel and lubricants are stored.

Currently, the relevant services continue to work at the scene. Specialists are working to address the aftermath of the attack and assess the damage caused. No reports of casualties have been received so far.

Despite the threat, emergency services continue to operate and are gradually addressing the aftermath of yet another attack. “Efforts to address the aftermath of the attack are ongoing,” noted Oleg Kipper.
