The SBU has formally charged, in absentia, a tax official working for Russia in the occupied territories

The Security Service has gathered evidence against a pseudo-official of the occupying authorities who has been working for the Russians in Horlivka since 2023. In her capacity as head of the Federal Tax Service’s Horlivka office, she oversaw compliance with tax and fee regulations for the benefit of the Russian Federation. 

This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine, noting that the suspect also carried out Russian state registration of legal entities, entrepreneurs, and farms.

Based on the evidence gathered, investigators notified the woman in absentia of her status as a suspect under articles regarding treason under martial law and collaboration. Currently, the suspect is evading justice in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. She faces liability under the Criminal Code of Ukraine for her actions.
